Excessive Underarm Sweating
The medical term for sweating too much from the armpits is "axillary hyperhidrosis". Sweating is normal for people, when water evaporates from the skin, it takes heat away from the body. This is why sweating is important for keeping the body at the right temperature.
Some people sweat a lot because they have another illness, but for many others, it's just because their sweat glands are too active or their sympathetic nervous system is too active.
Botulinum toxin is used by a lot of doctors to make the skin less wrinkled. To stop sweating, a tiny microneedle is used to inject a very small amount of Botulinum toxin into the area. This paralyses the nerves that send signals to the sweat glands.
The treatment isn't too painful and will take about 30 minutes to finish. There are no side effects, and you can go back to your normal activities right away.
The treatment could take as long as nine months.
